About the role#
The Sales Planning & Development Internship sits within the Multi-Media Sales Team of The Wall Street Journal and Barron's Group. You will learn how a revenue-generating team operates across the lifecycle of a deal. This role provides exposure to the sales process and digital order management systems, helping you build foundational skills for media-based careers. You will work alongside our teams to gain hands-on experience with digital products and advertiser objectives.
What you'll do#
- Build a basic understanding of digital advertising and our internal processes.
- Assist with launching digital campaigns by managing pre and post-launch tasks.
- Request third-party ad-verification or reporting access.
- Confirm billing schedules and share campaign screenshots.
- Assess performance and reporting data for active digital campaigns.
- Monitor media placements to ensure they are delivered as scheduled.
- Support the planning team with the billing process.
- Conduct research for sales proposals and special projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with at least two years completed in Business, Finance, Marketing, or Liberal Arts.
- Graduation date between December 2027 and July 2029.
- Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage project priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications including MS Office and Google Suite.
- Excellent communication skills for interaction in person, via email, and over the phone.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must not require sponsorship for an employment visa.
