About the role#
We are looking for a Consumer Strategy and Ventures Intern to join our team for the summer. This role is for those interested in how new ideas become reality within a media organization. You will support the development of new consumer growth initiatives, ranging from video expansion to new audience verticals. You will work alongside cross-functional partners to evaluate opportunities and move concepts toward execution.
What you'll do#
- Research and develop new consumer growth opportunities.
- Analyze audience trends and the competitive landscape to inform our strategy.
- Build business cases, presentations, and go-to-market plans.
- Partner with teams across editorial, product, marketing, and partnerships to run pilot programs.
- Track performance and success metrics for new ventures.
- Complete an individual project and contribute to a broader team initiative.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and curiosity about how new ideas come to life.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A proactive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
- Familiarity with digital media trends like video, the creator economy, and subscriptions.
