About the role#
As a Barron's Reporter Intern, you will join our newsroom to report and write breaking news on business and economic topics. You will work directly with editors and seasoned reporters to contribute to our coverage. This is a paid, full-time summer internship based in New York City.
What you'll do#
- Report and write breaking news stories covering business, finance, and the economy.
- Cover sectors such as technology, retail, real estate, banking, commodities, and personal finance.
- Help produce sharp analysis on daily news stories for Barron's readers.
- Support senior reporters with research and reporting for feature stories.
- Communicate with editors regarding story progress and participate in the editing process.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with at least two years completed.
- Pursuit of a degree in Journalism, Communications, English, Business Administration, or Economics.
- Previous journalism or writing experience, including stories published in a university publication or a prior internship.
- Ability to report and write clearly, concisely, and factually under deadline pressure.
- A genuine interest in business journalism.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
