About the role#
Dominion Energy is seeking students for a summer internship as a Telecom Technician. You will gain experience in electronic equipment operation and provide hands-on support for telecommunication and network systems. This role involves working under general supervision to resolve technical issues while supporting infrastructure across Virginia and North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Provide hands-on troubleshooting of electronic equipment.
- Research and resolve complex issues received through tickets, emails, and the network operations center.
- Provide field support for telecommunication and network systems and their associated infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a 4-year Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
- Minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Graduation date of fall 2028 or later.
- Strong technical background with coursework or experience in electronics, electrical theory, engineering, or network principles.
- Proficiency in Windows and Office 365.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Location: Richmond, Virginia.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time during the summer.
- Requirements: Must live within a 45-minute commuting distance and have reliable transportation.
