About the role#
This summer internship with the ERO Compliance team in Cayce, South Carolina, focuses on supporting NERC compliance efforts. You will help implement comprehensive compliance programs and assist with the administration of the ERO compliance program. This role is full-time and on-site.
What you'll do#
- Assist with audit preparation activities for the Regional Entity.
- Participate in audits and spot-checks.
- Coordinate compliance submittals, including self-reports, mitigation plans, and NERC Alert responses.
- Analyze, update, and develop compliance procedures and documentation.
- Create compliance tracking tools and training materials.
- Identify and implement internal controls and human performance tools.
- Support NERC stakeholders by using technical compliance expertise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Science program for Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering at an ABET accredited institution.
- An anticipated graduation date of Spring 2028 or later.
- A minimum GPA of 2.5.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to research issues, build consensus, and work within a team.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to be diplomatic and persuasive.
- Understanding of organizational structures and project management principles.
