About the role#
The Customer Payment Services intern joins the Customer Payments and Electronic Strategies team. You will assist with data analysis, reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role provides hands-on experience in documenting business processes and identifying ways to improve operational efficiency. You will work alongside business analysts and operational leaders on performance metrics and business case development. The position also includes rotational learning opportunities within billing and credit services.
What you'll do#
- Collect, validate, and analyze operational data for reporting.
- Build performance metrics, dashboards, and presentations.
- Identify trends and process improvement opportunities.
- Map business processes and maintain documentation.
- Support special projects and cost-benefit analyses.
- Collaborate with partners across payment and billing operations.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor degree program in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Expected graduation date in 2029.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Location: Richmond, Virginia.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days teleworking).
- Employment: Full time, paid internship.
