About the role#
Dominion Energy’s Insider Threat Program uses a cross-functional approach to manage risk across the company. As an intern, you will contribute to this program by helping to improve security measures and employee awareness. You will work within the Physical Security Operations Center and the Threat Response and Analysis Center to support daily operations and security projects.
What you'll do#
- Assist in developing and implementing security measures to mitigate insider threats.
- Support the creation and distribution of employee awareness programs.
- Help implement policies and procedures that drive risk mitigation.
- Provide support for investigations of insider threats while maintaining confidentiality.
- Support the Physical Security Operations Center (PSOC) in its daily operations.
- Collaborate with the Technical Security Team to implement technical physical security solutions for company facilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a four-year degree program in Data Science, Economics, International Relations, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or Criminal Justice.
- An anticipated graduation date between Fall 2028 and Fall 2029.
- A minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Experience with social media.
- A valid driver's license.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule.

- This is an on-site role based in Richmond, Virginia.
- This is a full-time, paid internship position.
- The role operates on a rolling term basis.
