About the role#
The Office of Career Programs & Employer Relations is hiring an undergraduate student worker to support daily operations and student engagement. This part-time role involves assisting with office administration, event coordination, and managing employer-related processes. You will work up to 10 hours per week and report to the Office Manager.
What you'll do#
- Greet students, employers, and visitors who come to the office.
- Assist with student communications regarding office updates and events.
- Create content for social media platforms.
- Design marketing materials and flyers using Canva.
- Review and approve job postings and employer registrations in 12Twenty.
- Provide peer support to students on resumes, cover letters, interview preparation, and job search strategies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as an undergraduate student at Dominican University.
- Eligibility for employment in the United States.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to learn and use software tools like 12Twenty and Canva.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
