About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Intern at DN, you will gain hands-on experience in civil engineering and construction. Working with a mentor, you will contribute to real projects and learn about the lifecycle of heavy-civil construction from conception to completion.
What you'll do#
- Assist Design Engineers with preliminary tank designs and drafting details.
- Review geotechnical project reports and customize project specification language.
- Create construction information packages to support the DN Construction Department.
- Provide support for Research and Development projects within the Engineering Department.
- Visit tank construction sites to assist with tank and shoring inspections.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering undergraduate program, with a preference for a structural focus.
- Experience with CAD software, preferably AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and solve problems in both individual and team settings.

- Location: Irving, Texas.
- This position requires reliable transportation to the Irving office.
- The role is full-time and on-site.
- This is a paid internship.
