About the role#
As a Structural Engineering Co-op, you will work directly with our Engineering team to support the design and construction of pre-stressed concrete liquid storage tanks. You will be paired with a mentor to gain hands-on experience across the lifecycle of heavy-civil construction projects. This role involves contributing to real project work and provides opportunities to visit active construction sites.
What you'll do#
- Perform preliminary tank designs and draft preliminary details.
- Review geotechnical project reports and customize project specification language.
- Assemble construction information packages to support the DN Construction Department.
- Provide support for Research and Development projects within the Engineering Department.
- Assist Design Engineers with tank and shoring inspections during site visits.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering undergraduate program, with a structural focus preferred.
- Proficiency with CAD software, specifically AutoCAD.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools including Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize assignments effectively.
- Capacity to solve problems both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable transportation to Wakefield, Massachusetts.

- This position is based on-site in Wakefield, Massachusetts.
- The role is a paid, full-time co-op opportunity with a rolling term.
