About the role#
DigiPen Institute of Technology is hiring a Student Teaching Assistant for MUS-220/220L and MUS-221/221L under the direction of Bruce Stark. This position runs from August 24, 2026, through April 23, 2027. You will work 10 to 20 hours per week. This is a paid, on-site role based in Redmond, Washington.
What you'll do#
- Support the instructor during class sessions.
- Help students with assignments, software, and hardware.
- Prepare classroom and studio equipment.
- Handle attendance tracking.
- Pre-grade coursework and assist with grading outside of class hours.
- Meet with the instructor regularly to discuss feedback and duties.
- Provide mentorship to students during and outside of class.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Proficiency with course materials, concepts, and tools.
- A supportive attitude and a willingness to help others.
- Comfort interacting with peers in an instructional or mentorship capacity.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, as the role involves occasional physical tasks like moving equipment.
- Good academic standing with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Location & details#
- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Must not conflict with your own class schedule. You cannot work during times when you have a scheduled class, or when a class is canceled or ends early.
- Eligibility: You must reside within the state of Washington while employed.
