About the role#

DigiPen Institute of Technology is seeking a Student Teaching Assistant for the CS-300 Advanced Computer Graphics course for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the instructor in classroom management, grading, and student mentorship. This is a paid position requiring a commitment of 5 hours per week from August 31 to December 15, 2026.

What you'll do#

Assist the instructor in planning and conducting class sessions, including equipment setup and facilitating student presentations.
Grade project assignments and provide constructive feedback to students.
Answer questions related to project implementation and help students navigate complex topics and problem-solving strategies.
Communicate with students through in-person, virtual, or email interactions.
Meet with the instructor upon request to discuss performance and duties.
Maintain accurate records of time worked.

What you'll need#

Current enrollment as a matriculated student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
Strong knowledge of CS-300 concepts and coursework, with a preference for students who have passed the course with a B or better.
Good academic standing and a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Comfort with tutoring or mentoring peers.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and students.
Commitment to academic integrity and supporting a diverse student population.

Location & details#

Location: Redmond, Washington. You must reside within the state of Washington to perform this work.
Work Modality: On-site.
Schedule: Must not conflict with your personal class schedule. Class times for this course are Mondays and Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 1:20 p.m.
Wage: $17.13 to $18.25 per hour, based on the number of terms worked at DigiPen.
Physical requirements: Ability to perform tasks such as lifting up to 25 lbs, carrying, pushing, and pulling, with the role consisting of approximately 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
