About the role#
This position is for a Teaching Assistant for the ANI-3501 3D Animation I course. The role supports students in their work on bipedal character animation assignments. You will work directly with the instructor to provide technical guidance and feedback. This is a paid, part-time position for the Fall 2026 term.
What you'll do#
- Provide technical assistance and constructive feedback to students during lab hours.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages peer-to-peer feedback.
- Tutor students after hours to help them resolve specific issues with their animation assignments.
- Assist the instructor with communication and feedback during small group discussions.
- Report student progress, course improvements, and any issues to the instructor.
- Track and report your hours worked.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at DigiPen Institute of Technology.
- Successful completion of ANI-3501 with a minimum grade of B.
- A cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- Strong foundation in 3D animation and rigging.
- Working knowledge of Maya, including controls setup, the graph editor, animation layers, and cameras.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and guide them through technical and creative challenges.

- Location: Redmond, Washington.
- Modality: On-site.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September 1 to December 1).
- Expected hours: 3 to 5 hours per week.
- Students must reside within the State of Washington.
