About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within the Desjardins Group Security Office (DGSO) during the Fall 2026 term. Interns will contribute to projects related to cybersecurity, fraud prevention, and information protection, working alongside a team of over 1,700 professionals to support organizational resilience and security awareness.
What you'll do#
- Support operational security and the integration of controls into IT projects by applying knowledge of risk analysis, vulnerability assessment, and threat monitoring.
- Assist in the implementation of security practices that align with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor discrepancies identified during physical security audits and draft strategic governance documents.
- Develop visual reports and recommendations to meet the needs of internal partners, including the design of dashboards and analysis of performance indicators.
- Conduct legal research on cybersecurity laws and regulations, provide advice on personal information protection, and assist in contract analysis.
- Help develop business opinions, implementation plans, and communication action plans to raise awareness of security standards.
- Support investigation teams by analyzing information, conducting studies, and preparing reports.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program where the internship is credited or certified by your educational institution.
- Relevant work or internship experience.
- Proficiency in French.
- Academic background in fields such as Cybersecurity, Business Administration, Computer Science, Communications, Political Science, History, Data Science, or Criminal Justice.
