About the role#
Dennis Group hires Architect Interns to support our industrial practice. We design and build food and beverage processing facilities. You will work on complex projects alongside project managers, process designers, and various engineering disciplines. This role covers all phases of architectural design, from initial proposals to construction administration.
What you'll do#
- Prepare programming and concept development documentation.
- Assist the Project Manager with budget planning and task schedules.
- Carry out architectural detailing, including site planning, building sections, and functional space layouts.
- Produce schematics and construction documents.
- Maintain contact with clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Prepare regulatory submittals and code analysis sheets.
- Perform construction administration tasks like on-site observation and change orders.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program in Architecture.
- Familiarity with building codes and project management processes.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to visit project sites and offices.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds.
