About the role#
As an Analyst Intern in Financial Engineering and Analytics, you will join a team of quantitative finance specialists. You will work on various risk management consulting projects and contribute to the growth of the practice. This role involves learning financial risk management frameworks and OSFI governance standards.
What you'll do#
- Provide advisory services across financial risk streams including market, credit, liquidity, AML and fraud, investment, AI/ML modeling, insurance, and exotic derivatives.
- Act as a quantitative finance specialist on client engagements.
- Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for clients.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the practice.
What you'll need#
- You are working toward a 4th year of undergraduate studies, a master degree, or a PhD.
- Relevant studies include Physics, Mathematics, Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, or Actuarial Science.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience researching, synthesizing data, writing reports, and preparing presentations.
- Ability to work under the pressure of deadlines.
- Knowledge of Bloomberg, Reuters, and FINCAD.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as SAS, R, VBA, SQL, C++, Python, Pathwise, or AXIS, along with database tool knowledge.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
- The work modality is hybrid.
- Positions are available in Montreal, Quebec and Toronto, Ontario.
- The term is rolling.
