About the role#
As an Audit & Assurance Intern in the Technology Controls Advisory practice, you will help clients manage risks and improve their information systems. You will work on projects that involve designing, assessing, and remediating technology controls to ensure organizations operate effectively and meet regulatory requirements. This role provides hands-on experience in audit, specialized assurance, and internal audit activities.
What you'll do#
- Assist clients in improving the quality of information disclosed to markets and investors.
- Evaluate accounting systems and controls to identify areas for improvement and enhance technology risk management.
- Perform internal audit assurance activities over financial, operational, compliance, and IT systems.
- Create and manage SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 reports.
- Oversee the implementation of new systems to ensure they align with industry standards and client objectives.
- Perform internal control assessments and develop recommendations to enhance business processes based on audit findings.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Cybersecurity, or related technical fields.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate within a team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Location & details#
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Work Modality: Hybrid (expected to co-locate on average 3 times a week).
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% based on client and project needs.
- Requirements: Must reside within a commutable distance of the assigned office.
- Compensation: This is a paid internship with a wage range of $28.23 to $56.67 per hour.
