About the role#
As a Surgical Technologist Student, you will play a vital role in the operating room by assisting surgeons and medical professionals during procedures. This position focuses on maintaining a sterile environment, preparing equipment, and supporting the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Arrange the operating room with necessary supplies.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and other materials during surgery.
- Help with patient positioning and monitoring vital signs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of surgical instruments and equipment.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from a School of Operating Room Technicians.
- Current enrollment in a Surgical or RN program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Previous experience is preferred.
