About the role#
As a Surgical Technologist Student, you will support surgeons and medical staff within the operating room. This position focuses on maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring that all surgical procedures are supported by well-prepared equipment and organized supplies.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments.
- Arrange the operating room with the necessary supplies.
- Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and other materials during procedures.
- Help with patient positioning and monitor vital signs.
- Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of surgical instruments and equipment.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from a School of Operating Room Technicians.
- Current enrollment in a Surgical or RN program.
- Current Basic Life Support certification.
- Previous experience is preferred.
