About the role#
As a Graduate Pharmacy Intern, you will transition your academic pharmacy knowledge into real-world practice. This role is designed to prepare you for a future Pharmacist position through hands-on experience and a structured training roadmap. You will work under the direction of preceptors and district leaders to gain a deep understanding of pharmacy operations, patient safety, and clinical standards. You will complete your training requirements within 120 days of graduation.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy operations to ensure safe, accurate, and prompt prescription fulfillment.
- Provide patient care and counseling under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and communicate with prescribers to facilitate medication changes.
- Coach and mentor pharmacy team members while sharing best practices.
- Manage inventory activities, including cycle counts, returns, and medication deliveries.
- Support immunization services by educating patients, obtaining informed consent, and administering vaccines where allowed by law.
- Follow company standard operating procedures to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
What you'll need#
- PharmD graduate from a U.S. accredited program.
- Ability to obtain pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation.
- Valid intern or technician licensure.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
