About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role provides an overview of store, district, and regional operations while preparing you for a future career as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately and safely.
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by providing caring service and addressing patient needs.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities, such as processing deliveries and cycle counts.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws, as well as company policies regarding patient privacy and safety.
- Deliver health care services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law.
- Complete Technician Immunizer training and licensure to prepare and administer vaccines.
- Educate patients on vaccine importance and monitor for potential adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of related experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Flexibility to work at your home store and travel to other locations within the market.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Capability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.

- Location: Parker, Colorado.
- This is a part-time, on-site position.
- The role follows a rolling term.
