About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world practice. You will work under the guidance of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on supporting pharmacy teams while developing the clinical and operational skills necessary to prepare for a future career as a Pharmacist.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams by following company SOPs and workflow procedures for safe prescription fulfillment.
- Provide patient care by offering immunizations, point-of-care testing, and health education.
- Obtain Technician Immunizer status to prepare and administer vaccines while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Field medical questions and offer counseling under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Handle telephonic prescriptions and facilitate medication changes with prescribers.
- Mentor and provide coaching to pharmacy team members.
- Manage basic inventory tasks, including cycle counts and processing medication deliveries.
- Comply with all federal, state, and local laws regarding pharmacy practice and patient privacy.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Ability to work in your home store and travel to other locations within the market.
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.

- Pay Range: $20.50 - $24.25 per hour.
