About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work as part of the pharmacy team under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will help deliver care to patients and contribute to the daily operations of a retail pharmacy. This role involves managing patient care programs and supporting the pharmacy's purpose.
What you'll do#
- Ensure a safe and effective pharmacy environment.
- Manage patient care programs and support regulatory requirements.
- Lead with empathy for patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Facilitate a team culture that promotes caring, energy, and enthusiasm.
- Align team members around the pharmacy's mission.
- Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or the ability to obtain it.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
- Immunization eligibility is preferred.
