About the role#
Baptist Memorial Health Care is hiring an Intern-Nurse I for the ICU Stepdown unit. This is a paid, on-site internship for students currently in a nursing program. You will work under the direction of registered nurses to support patient care and unit operations.
What you'll do#
- Assess patients and help develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Provide direct patient care and assist nursing staff with daily tasks.
- Participate in unit activities to improve health care delivery.
- Build your clinical leadership knowledge through ongoing education and goal completion.
What you'll need#
- You must be a full-time senior student in an approved nursing program and within one year of graduation.
- You need to meet or exceed your program academic requirements.
- You must be computer literate.
- You are required to obtain BLS certification within 14 days of your start date.
