About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team in their daily responsibilities.
What you'll do#
- Deliver patient safety through pharmacy professional practice and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide quality assurance and customer service to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
- Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
- Lead with empathy and compassion while collaborating with the team to deliver positive health outcomes.
- Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
- Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
- Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
