Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to ensure a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional patient care, managing pharmacy operations, and supporting the pharmacy team in their daily responsibilities.

What you'll do#

• Deliver patient safety through pharmacy professional practice and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Provide quality assurance and customer service to patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Manage inventory and pharmacy workflow, excluding final prescription verification.
• Lead with empathy and compassion while collaborating with the team to deliver positive health outcomes.
• Strive to provide patient immunizations once state regulations are met.
• Complete all required training within state guidelines and required timeframes.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining a valid intern or technician license as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to maintain regular attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, lift up to 20 lbs, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
