Pharmacy Intern

About the role#

As a Pharmacy Intern, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment. Working under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, you will contribute to patient care programs, pharmacy practice, regulatory compliance, and workflow management. This role focuses on delivering exceptional care while fostering a team culture defined by empathy, compassion, and professional growth.

What you'll do#

• Manage patient care programs to support customer and patient health.
• Lead with empathy and compassion when interacting with patients, caregivers, and colleagues.
• Facilitate a team culture that promotes energy, enthusiasm, and pride.
• Complete all required training and obtain necessary licensure within state-mandated timelines.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, scanning, bagging items, and maintaining mobility for extended periods.
• Utilize finger dexterity and visual acuity for tasks such as typing, transcribing, and inspecting small parts.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in or acceptance into an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• 0-3 years of relevant work experience.
• Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it as required by the state.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Availability for a schedule that includes nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform physical requirements, including bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
