About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap designed to prepare you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist. This role involves gaining experience across store, district, and regional operations while working under the direction of a preceptor to ensure pharmacy operations run smoothly.
What you'll do#
- Support pharmacy teams to deliver our brand promise and provide caring service to patients.
- Ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately following standard operating procedures.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and genuine care.
- Offer to counsel patients, field medical questions, and take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers.
- Perform clinical services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing where allowed by law.
- Educate patients on vaccines and monitor for potential adverse reactions.
- Assist with basic inventory activities, including medication deliveries and cycle counts.
- Maintain self-awareness and provide coaching to team members while embracing a growth mindset.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- At least 1 year of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings.
- Ability to concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly between duties, and maintain attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to utilize active listening.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and the ability to use math to solve prescription-related problems.
- Ability to become immunization certified.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach overhead, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- Flexibility to work nights and weekends and travel to different locations within the market.

- Location: Flower Mound, Texas.
- Schedule: Part-time with rolling term.
- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
- Modality: On-site.
