About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap that covers pharmacy operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist while you support the daily needs of the pharmacy team.
What you'll do#
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure that operations run smoothly.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care.
- Support immunizations, including patient education and monitoring.
- Complete basic inventory activities as directed by pharmacy leadership.
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies.
What you'll need#
- Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- Ability to pivot quickly from one task to another to meet patient and business needs.
- Ability to confirm prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
- Ability to complete required training within the designated timeframe.
