About the role#
The Transitions of Care Pharmacy Intern works under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. You will handle patient clinical information and prescription coverage plans. This role is compliance critical, meaning you are responsible for ensuring all work meets division, corporate, and regulatory requirements.
What you'll do#
- Obtain clinical and prescription plan coverage information for new patients.
- Review new prescriptions and prescription plans for accuracy.
- Communicate clearly with patients and staff through both oral and written channels.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team-oriented environment.
- Maintain high standards of compliance across all daily tasks.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program.
- Basic knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and pharmacy law.
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHR).
- A commitment to high-quality patient care and professional standards.
- Previous pharmacy experience through an internship, externship, or work is a plus, though not required.

- This position is remote and based in Tennessee.
- The role is part-time, requiring 10 to 20 hours per week.
- This is a paid internship.
