About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist by focusing on safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy operations.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on key learning experiences.
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at workstations including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off to ensure safe prescription fulfillment.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by demonstrating empathy and care during interactions.
- Assist the pharmacy team with inventory activities, such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Support patient health services, including immunizations and point-of-care testing, where permitted by law and supported by training.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining it.
- Ability to complete all required training within the designated timeframe.
- Mathematical reasoning skills to solve problems related to prescriptions, such as calculating dosages and day supplies.
- Ability to pivot quickly between tasks to meet patient and business needs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Schedule: Part-time, including nights and weekends.
- Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
- Term: Rolling.
