About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school education to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a comprehensive training roadmap. This role focuses on gaining hands-on experience with pharmacy operations while preparing for future responsibilities as a Pharmacist. You will contribute to a safe and inclusive team environment while supporting patient care.
What you'll do#
- Follow company SOPs and pharmacy workflow procedures at all workstations, including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Assist the pharmacy team in filling prescriptions safely and accurately.
- Provide caring service to patients, including fielding medical questions and offering to counsel under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions from prescribers and clarify medication details.
- Support patient health by educating on and delivering services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Monitor for adverse reactions and document patient information as required.
- Complete inventory tasks like cycle counts, returns, and putting away deliveries.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to other pharmacy team members.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure, or be in the process of obtaining one.
- Ability to maintain regular, predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure prescription and label accuracy.
- Ability to use math to solve problems, such as calculating day's supply or tablet counts.
- Capability to pivot between tasks quickly to meet patient needs.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods, reach, stoop, and lift up to 20 lbs.
- 1+ years of experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and the ability to become immunization certified are preferred.

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
