About the role#
As a Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your pharmacy school learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap, gaining experience in store, district, and regional operations. This role focuses on developing your skills in preparation for a future Pharmacist position while supporting the pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate patient care.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap and follow all company standard operating procedures at each workstation.
- Assist with pharmacy workflow procedures including production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and care during interactions.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and facilitate medication changes where allowed by regulation.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete inventory activities such as putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns.
- Deliver patient health care services including immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Educate patients about vaccines and monitor for or respond to adverse reactions.
What you'll need#
- Must be accepted into or actively enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Must possess or be in the process of obtaining valid intern or technician licensure.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, customer-oriented approach.
- Ability to perform prescription calculations using math.
- Capacity to concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly between duties, and resolve challenging interactions.
- Physical ability to remain upright for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.

- Compensation: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour.
