About the role#
This internship is a 10.5-week, full-time program running from May 2027 through August 2027. You will gain foundational knowledge of the healthcare and employee benefits industry while supporting the Aetna Commercial business. The role offers exposure to senior leaders, mentorship opportunities, and professional development workshops. Successful interns may be considered for future opportunities within the company, including the Group School Leadership Development Program.
What you'll do#
- Support sales-related projects and contribute to business objectives.
- Collaborate across sales, marketing, product, and account management teams.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and business intelligence to identify growth opportunities.
- Develop sales enablement tools, client-facing resources, and pursuit plans.
- Analyze sales and operational data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Present findings, project outcomes, and recommendations to business leaders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Health Administration, Public Health, or a related field.
- Anticipated graduation date between September 2027 and August 2028.
- Demonstrated interest in sales, healthcare, business development, or account management.
- Willingness to commute to or relocate to the Hartford, CT area.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Location & details#
- Location: Hartford, CT.
- Modality: Hybrid (three days per week in the office, two days remote).
- Compensation: $26 per hour.
- Term: Summer 2027.
