About the role#
As a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern, you will apply your classroom learning to real-world practice. You will work under the direction of a preceptor to complete a training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences. This role prepares you for future responsibilities as a pharmacist by providing an overview of store, district, and regional operations.
What you'll do#
- Complete a comprehensive training roadmap focused on Key Learning Experiences.
- Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly.
- Ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately.
- Follow company Standard Operating Procedures at each workstation.
- Contribute to positive patient experiences with empathy.
- Offer to counsel and field medical questions under pharmacist supervision.
- Take telephonic prescriptions and call prescribers for clarification.
- Provide coaching, training, and mentoring to pharmacy team members.
- Complete basic inventory activities.
- Deliver patient health care services such as immunizations and point-of-care testing.
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines.
What you'll need#
- Acceptance into or active enrollment in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
- Valid intern or technician licensure as required.
- 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service (preferred).
- Ability to become immunization certified (preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (preferred).

- Compensation: $20.00 - $23.75 per hour.
