About the role#
We are looking for an Engineering Intern to join our team in Grand Prairie, Texas. You will work closely with the Business Unit Manager on projects involving shot peening robots, including their design and execution. This position is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Operate and maintain a 3D printer.
- Learn casting techniques and manufacture tooling.
- Create SolidWorks models, assemblies, and drawings.
- Support machine improvements, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Identify opportunities for masking and general process improvements.
- Research and procure materials from vendors.
- Potentially travel to other facilities for on-site work.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th-year student in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience with CAD modeling, ideally SolidWorks.
- Experience with 3D printing using Simplify3d software.
- Practical design and build experience from projects such as robot teams, catapult teams, HPVC teams, or personal technical projects.
