About the role#
We are looking for a Design Engineering Intern to join our Target Rock team in East Farmingdale, New York. This is a full-time, paid, on-site internship. You will work alongside Design Engineers to support ongoing projects and gain hands-on experience in the defense and space manufacturing industry.
What you'll do#
- Design and develop fixtures, tooling, and production hardware to support operations.
- Create 3D models of parts and assemblies using CAD software.
- Produce technical 2D detail and assembly drawings with appropriate tolerancing.
- Support design and development projects to help meet project milestones.
- Assist with product and drawing revisions through Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Migrate CAD files from I-deas to the NX program.
What you'll need#
- US citizenship is required.
- You must be actively pursuing a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Mathcad.
