About the role#
This 10-week summer internship offers students a chance to work within the Accounting & Reporting, Payroll, or Billing teams at CSX. You will gain hands-on experience and work alongside industry professionals in a full-time capacity. The program runs from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Learn the core functions of the accounting organization.
- Work on special projects supporting field employees, technology initiatives, customer relationships, and financial objectives.
- Conduct accounting research and analysis.
- Communicate your findings and results to department leaders.
- Engage in process improvement projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Availability to work 40 hours per week for the full 10-week program.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug test.

- This role is based on-site at the CSX headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
- This is a paid internship.
- Housing support may be available for eligible interns.
