About the role#
The Tax Technology Intern joins the CEI Tax Department to help improve tax processes through technology. You will work alongside tax professionals to build solutions, automate data, and support the integration of new tools. This is a full-time, paid internship.
What you'll do#
- Assist with implementing and maintaining technology solutions for tax processes.
- Build data automations and visualizations using Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
- Support the evaluation and integration of artificial intelligence into tax workflows.
- Gather and document business requirements for technology projects.
- Create process documentation and user guides for internal tools.
- Identify ways to improve federal tax compliance through technology.
- Collect, analyze, and report data for tax initiatives.
- Maintain SharePoint sites and document libraries.
- Collaborate on ad hoc tax technology projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, finance, taxation, computer science, data science, information systems, or a related field.
- A GPA of 3.2 or higher.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- A working knowledge of accounting and tax concepts.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated interest in technology and process improvement.
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
