About the role#
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will contribute to the development and management of enterprise platforms. You will work on deployment pipelines, security monitoring, and quality assurance. This role focuses on building tools to automate manual tasks and maintaining infrastructure on both public and private clouds.
What you'll do#
- Build and manage deployment pipelines and enterprise platforms.
- Develop automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and support processes.
- Create tools to assist in continuous integration and delivery across all environments.
- Document new development, test plans, and procedures.
- Monitor system and service performance, escalating issues as needed.
- Use AI tools to support productivity, testing, and automation tasks.
- Solicit feedback from operations and delivery teams to optimize software quality and throughput.
- Follow and help establish engineering, security, and best practice standards.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BA/BS program for Computer Science or a related field.
- Coursework covering systems, software development, networking, and security.
- Experience writing code or scripts in at least one high-level programming language.
- Familiarity with Windows and Linux systems, databases, and containers.
- Experience with source code, orchestration, and configuration management tools.
- Familiarity with public cloud architecture, preferably AWS.
- Understanding of Agile concepts such as Scrum and Kanban.
- Interest in building secure, resilient applications and measuring performance data.
- Ability to articulate technical thoughts clearly in group and one-on-one settings.
- A collaborative approach to problem-solving.
