About the role#
The Claims Co-Op provides support to the Coverys Claim Department. You will focus on gathering, reviewing, and synthesizing claim files to identify critical data points. This position offers exposure to the daily responsibilities of a Claim Consultant and provides opportunities to observe litigation-related events.
What you'll do#
- Review weekly and monthly reports to assess claim file status and ensure timely data entry.
- Gather, verify, and correct data for import into the claim system.
- Determine if case files remain active and identify their disposition status.
- Enter information into claim management software and other IT systems.
- Communicate and partner with the Claims department and IT team members.
- Shadow Claim Consultants to observe the day-to-day handling of files.
- Attend litigation events such as depositions, mediations, and trials.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree program, preferably with a focus on Business Administration.
- Interest in the fields of insurance, healthcare, or law.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to enter data accurately from multiple sources.
- Capability to multi-task and prioritize work.
- Excellent writing, communication, and customer service skills.

- This role is located on-site in Boston, Massachusetts.
- The position is part-time and operates on a rolling term.
- This is a paid internship.
