About the role#
Coverys is looking for an Actuarial Co-op to join our Pricing and Analytics team. You will support the team by analyzing insurance premium, claim, and exposure data. This role involves performing market and competitor research to assist with analysis when data is limited.
What you'll do#
- Prepare premium, claim, and exposure data for actuarial analysis.
- Use Excel templates and run SQL and Tableau queries.
- Pull competitor rate filings to summarize and integrate with internal data.
- Review market share and annual statement information.
- Research and reconcile data from various sources.
- Participate in team meetings and handle other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current major in mathematics, science, programming, economics, or another quantitative field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to interpret and analyze various types of data.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent oral and written communication.
- Experience with R, SQL, SAS, VBA, or Python is helpful but not required.

- This is an on-site role located in Boston, Massachusetts.
- The position is part-time with a rolling term.
