About the role#
The Internal Audit Co-op role offers exposure to the audit process and methodology within an insurance organization. You will work across most Coverys business units to gain an understanding of internal controls and gain hands-on experience with audit operations. This position involves direct interaction with internal clients and requires participation in the day-to-day activities of the Internal Audit team.
What you'll do#
- Support and document walkthroughs and testing of various Model Audit Rule (MAR) processes alongside the Finance department.
- Assist the audit team in monitoring project progress and status.
- Prepare for meetings with clients regarding audit planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Partner and work with internal audit co-sourcing vendors.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Risk Management and Compliance teams on integrated risk management efforts.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently with limited guidance.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including CoPilot.

- The role is part-time and follows a rolling term.
