About the role#
Corteva Agriscience is hiring engineering students for the Research Automation, Engineering & Services team. This internship takes place during the summer of 2027 in Indianapolis. You will work on hands-on engineering projects involving robotics, mechanical design, 3D printing, electronics, and software development. This role is designed to integrate classroom theory with practical work in a business casual environment.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced engineering professionals on various projects.
- Learn about research processes and technology needs.
- Handle the discovery, design, fabrication, integration, and deployment of engineering solutions.
- Work in areas such as automated research systems, product test facilities, and high throughput laboratories.
- Contribute to projects involving mechanical, agricultural, electrical, and software engineering.
- Manage tasks ranging from simple hand tools and fixtures to fully automated systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
- At least 2 years of a Bachelor's degree program completed in mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, agricultural, or a similar engineering field.
- Proven experience with 3D CAD software, with SolidWorks preferred.
- A desire to develop solutions in a hands-on atmosphere.
- Legal right to work in the U.S. without restriction.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Experience in developing and implementing new ideas.
