About the role#
Corteva Agriscience is looking for an intern to join our Research and Development organization for the Summer 2027 program. You will work in Indianapolis on the deployment, optimization, and scaling of AI-powered solutions. This role focuses on the development of AI agents, large language models, and agentic workflows to support scientific research and business processes. You will help manage our AI ecosystem, improve operational efficiency, and contribute to enterprise governance standards.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with scientists, engineers, and data scientists to support AI-driven research.
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of AI agents and their supporting infrastructure.
- Organize and manage reusable AI resources like MCP servers, prompts, and tool integrations.
- Analyze LLM usage patterns to improve token efficiency, response quality, and cost management.
- Build dashboards and reporting processes to track agent performance and effectiveness.
- Design and implement workflows that automate research tasks.
- Test and evaluate AI agents across various R&D use cases.
- Help develop best practices and documentation for enterprise AI systems.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full-time student at an accredited college or university.
- Pursuit of a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with Python programming and software development fundamentals.
- Familiarity with machine learning, large language models, generative AI, or natural language processing.
- Experience working with data analysis, APIs, or cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without restriction.

- This is an on-site internship based in Indianapolis, Indiana.
- The position is part-time and paid.
