About the role#
As a Microbiologist Summer Intern in Indianapolis, you will work with scientists to support research projects in microbiology and biological sciences. This role provides hands-on experience in an industry research environment and opportunities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
What you'll do#
- Assist with laboratory and research activities.
- Support experiment planning, sample preparation, data collection, and data analysis.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate findings to project teams.
- Present project updates and a final summary of results to colleagues.
- Follow safety protocols and contribute to the safety culture.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. program in Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Plant Biology, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during the summer.
- Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous laboratory or research experience is preferred.
- Experience with microbiological techniques, culturing, sample preparation, or laboratory analysis is a plus.
