About the role#
This is a 12-week, full-time internship for Summer 2027 based in Long Beach, New York. You will work on the Commercial Auto Actuarial team, gaining exposure to insurance operations and senior management. This is a paid, on-site position.
What you'll do#
- Perform data validation and quality checks.
- Support actuarial pricing analyses and portfolio reviews.
- Assist with reserve monitoring and related reporting.
- Build your understanding of statutory requirements and core actuarial concepts.
- Collaborate with finance and underwriting teams as needed.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mathematics, data science, statistics, or actuarial science.
- You have passed at least two actuarial exams.
- You possess intermediate or better Excel skills.
- You can analyze large datasets to identify trends.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- You can work 40 hours per week for the duration of the 12-week program.

- Compensation: $25 per hour.
