About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to apply engineering skills within the Upstream organization, including areas such as reservoir, production, facilities, drilling, and projects. Interns work within established engineering and operations teams to gain practical experience. Each intern is assigned a technical mentor and a supervisor to provide guidance and support throughout the program.
What you'll do#
- Complete one or more technical projects during the 10 to 12 week summer assignment.
- Receive diversified training through on-the-job assignments.
- Develop and improve engineering techniques, such as forecasting and design optimization.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Environmental, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering, or Business Administration.
- Current academic standing as a sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student.
- Minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in an energy-related field is preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without company sponsorship.

- Locations: Kenedy, TX; Houston, TX; Dickinson, ND; Anchorage, AK; or Midland, TX.
- Term: Summer 2027 (10 to 12 continuous weeks).
