About the role#
The Engineering Intern role is a temporary position designed to provide students with practical experience building and operating digital solutions. You will work within a cross-functional product team, receiving guidance from experienced engineers as you develop your technical and professional capabilities. This role focuses on connecting engineering work to product objectives and business value.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to software design, development, testing, automation, deployment, and support activities.
- Complete engineering assignments with attention to quality, security, reliability, and established standards.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, technical discussions, code reviews, and documentation.
- Responsibly explore and use cloud-native, DevSecOps, automation, observability, and AI-enabled tools.
- Develop an understanding of product goals, client needs, and how your work contributes to business value.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Completion of coursework in programming, software engineering fundamentals, algorithms, or data structures.
- Experience developing software through academic coursework, personal projects, hackathons, research, or open-source contributions.
- Experience with one or more modern programming languages or development frameworks.
- Familiarity with Git-based source control and Agile software development.

- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- The position is located in Mankato, Minnesota.
- This role follows a hybrid work modality.
