About the role#
The Nurse Intern supports patient care under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will assist with essential care tasks and help foster a therapeutic environment. This role focuses on hands-on learning, collaboration with the healthcare team, and providing safe and organized care to enhance the patient experience.
What you'll do#
- Provide basic patient care within your scope of practice, including vital sign monitoring and hygiene assistance.
- Communicate effectively with the care team and report changes in patient conditions.
- Develop clinical skills by applying evidence-based practices under the guidance of an RN.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment and assist with equipment maintenance.
- Perform hourly rounding and purposeful patient interactions to support the healing process.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Nursing program.
- Completion of fundamentals of clinicals in an accredited Nursing program.
- 0-1 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
- CPR certification issued by AHA, ARC, or ASHI.
- Fingerprint Clearance Card issued by the State Department of Public Safety for Skilled Nursing roles.
