About the role#
This 12-week internship program prepares nurses to work in the Emergency Department at Cedars-Sinai. The program includes both didactic learning and preceptored training. Upon successful completion, you will be able to function independently as an Emergency Department nurse. Please note that this position requires an 18-month work commitment in the department after the internship concludes.
What you'll do#
- Assess and identify patient needs to triage care, stabilize conditions, and minimize pain.
- Plan and implement individualized care based on your observations.
- Administer medications and therapeutic agents as part of the treatment plan.
- Document direct and indirect patient care services accurately.
- Initiate emergency procedures when required.
What you'll need#
- A BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing program.
- A valid California Registered Nurse License.
- At least 1 year of recent acute RN experience.
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.

- Location: Los Angeles, California.
- Term: Winter 2027 (starting January 2027).
- Modality: On-site, full-time, 12-hour night shifts.
