About the role#
The Student Nurse Advancement Program offers nursing students paid, hands-on clinical experience while they complete their education. Participants begin in a Patient Care Technician role, working alongside experienced professionals to build clinical skills and prepare for a future career as a Registered Nurse. This program provides a pathway to advance through various roles and internship opportunities within the health system.
What you'll do#
- Record vital statistics and other basic health information.
- Provide patient-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
- Clean patient living areas and treatment rooms.
- Collect non-invasive biological specimens.
- Perform clerical work related to scheduling and documenting patient healthcare.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited nursing program.
- Good academic standing within your nursing program.
- Maintenance of acceptable job performance standards.
- Ability to obtain and maintain department specific competencies and certifications.
- Inclusion on the North Dakota Department of Health Nurse Aide Registry if you are not a Certified Nursing Assistant.

- Compensation: Starting rate of $21.50 per hour.
